Public schools in South Island will organize a variety of activities for international students studying at Southland Schools to ensure that they have a pleasant time here.
The beginning of each school year is the busiest for our public schools in South Island. Each school will hold a grand welcoming ceremony, the most traditional and oldest way in New Zealand - Haka, that welcomes our international guests from afar to join us in the New Zealand south island family.
After international students have studied in Southland for a while, our International Director and International Student Admission Representatives will invite them to participate in the International Student Exchange Forum. International students can use this opportunity to tell us how we can improve our project to create the best study experience for them.
At the end of each academic year, every school in south island will have a commendation meeting. Awards are given to outstanding students and students who have achieved outstanding results in various world, national and state competitions during the school year.
