Our Homestay

Home / Living In South Island / Our Homestay

When you leave home to study in South Island at a young age, host family is a very good choice and will give you a sense of belonging.

It is not easy when you are in a foreign country trying to adapt to the new environment, learn a new language and finish your school. However, it will be easier if you have the support from another family and connection with the local community. The home-stay will allow you to adapt quickly to a new life.

Take care of your safety

Host families are carefully selected by the schools and strictly follow the hospitality rules. Host families can ensure that students' learning and growth environment is safe, comfortable, and well-cared for in their daily lives. Your school will protect you and make sure you are satisfied with your home-stay arrangements. Your International Director understands that your satisfaction with studying abroad is very important.

We guarantee you have enough time to study

Your host family places great value on their responsibilities, especially the responsibility to keep you safe.

They hope that you can enjoy your home-stay experience. Although there are a variety of exciting activities in South Island, they will also ensure that you go home on time and spend enough time on your studies.

Help you to blend into the community

Your chances of getting in touch with the locals do not only require communication with the host family members, but also contact with the neighbors and friends of the host family. It is also a good opportunity to practice English and understand the local culture.

Expand your social network

With the help of a host family, you'll enter a new social network, meet other friends and families, and participate in other community activities, which means you can participate in a wider range of community activities, make more friends, and make everything better.

Your second home

Unlike other student accommodations, home-stays give you the opportunity to immerse yourself in another culture and language.

Your host family will become your second home. They will introduce you to their family and friends, let you participate in daily life activities, and take you around the area. The students studying in South Island have automatically become local cultural messengers, and actively promote Southland here.

Choose your host family

When it comes to choosing your host family, our school chooses according to a set of clear criteria and the needs, preferences and expectations of each student.
